The AmerKleen M81 filter is a high efficiency glass media that offers better value compared to standard permanent metal filters. M81 filter pads are particularly suited for use in engine, turbine, and smooth flow compressor air intake applications.
A disposable glass fibre pad, the AmerKleen M81 filter consists of continuous glass fibres. The fibre diameter becomes smaller and the weave progressively tighter from the air entering to the air leaving side. AmerKool M81 is manufactured with a specially formulated water resistant binder applied during the process to maintain its shape and resilience while saturated with water. Progressive density construction will prevent face loading and to increase the water holding capacity.
This structure allows dirt to penetrate deep into the media, utilizing the full depth of the pad. Where the fibres cross, they are glued together with a thermosetting plastic bond to form a strong, resilient pad. The dust holding capacity is further increased by impregnating the media with AAF’s exclusive antimicrobial treatment (Ultra treatment). This gel-like adhesive will not migrate at temperatures up to 100˚C. By compressing the AmerKleen M81 pad into a retaining frame of 50 mm depth, the density and therefore the efficiency is increased even more.
